How to Play Tic-Tac-Toe
Tic-Tac-Toe (also called Noughts and Crosses) is a classic game played on a 3x3 grid. You play as X, and the computer plays as O. Take turns placing your symbol in empty squares. The first player to line up three of their symbols horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins.
Difficulty Levels
- Easy: Computer plays randomly. Great for beginners.
- Medium: Computer blocks obvious wins and takes them when available.
- Hard: Computer uses the perfect minimax algorithm. Best you can do is draw.
Strategy Tips
- Always take the center square if you can — it's part of 4 winning lines.
- Corners are the next best squares (part of 3 lines each).
- Edges are weakest (only 2 lines each).
- Create a "fork" — two threats at once — so the computer can only block one.
